The Song
"The Road Safety Authority is honoured to support Pete St. John's efforts to promote road safety. Pete has managed to use his winning formula for producing classic and memorable songs to create a really catchy melody that gets across the important message not to drink and drive. As the Country Underground Band say in the tune, I hope everyone will stop and listen carefully to the message in the song, Never Drink and Drive, it's wrong"
- Mr. Noel Brett, CEO, Road Safety Authority.
Vision Statement... Pete St John
The case for a Never Drink and Drive Song

Songs are timeless magic carpets. They have a life of their own and have no limits reaching across the universe. The expression 'there's a song' about that is common place in our society and says it all as far as awareness impact is concerned. A song with a simple hook chorus, often wins the day where all other forms of message carrying has failed. Short, sweet and to the point. Three minutes of easy... but memorable... listening is all it takes.
The moral of my song story is Never drink and drive, the life you save may be your own. It's the thought that matters.
And it drives the message home
Think about the lives you're saving
And the first could be your own!
That old saying, I can't get that song out of my mind, might just be the answer in helping people to think twice before driving their cars when they have an alcoholic drink taken and like the song, their cars will become magic carpets to happy, accident free driving on our highways.
